Day 10 Bodo to Rorvik, stop at Bronnoysund
Today was very much an onboard day with, yet again, spectacular scenery and breathtaking light over the fjords and islands.
I never tired of standing either on the quieter promenade deck 5 or the busier top deck 7, looking at the magnificent landscape of the Helgeland coast.
In the afternoon, because many passengers were leaving the next day, we had a 'farewell' to the officers on top deck 7.
Very nice bubbly, sharing laughs and happy moments with new friends - here Carol from Scotland. The captain and vice-captain
Sigrid, the tours and excursion leader, was also there, as bright as he'd been day one. He prepared fabulous presentations every day for us, and was often on deck spotting whales, sea eagles, puffins, etc.
And crazy bar manager, Janerik, who always made me laugh and insisted on Carol and I finishing up the leftover bubblies!
One of the highlights was the viewing of the stunning Seven Sisters mountain range. The tale goes that 7 sisters were trying to escape from an unwanted suitor and were caught as the sun rose and were turned into these gorgeous mountains!
Bronnoysund was our main stop, allowing time for some to visit Torghattan mountain, with its hole in the middle.
The town was not exciting, as Siegurd said, the stone and sign indicating it was the center of Norway,
I am sure there is a lot to do there if you have time to hike and explore the area properly.
Departure from Bronnoysund was very pretty, with plenty of picturesque islands with lovely colorful houses
And fantastic reflections of yet another of the splendid bridges!
We spent the late afternoon and evening enjoying the very peaceful and relaxing trip through the Vikna archipelago.
