Cagliari to Olbia
Back at Geneva airport after five lovely days with lots of friends, I am on my way to Wales. So excited at the thought of seeing family again and meeting newcomers Mabli and Betsi, my great great mieces! 5 days after I was in Sardinia, I am on the final day of my blog! Cagliari market was a colourful, noisy affair on three floors. Everything looked so fresh, but unfortunately I didn't need anything. Leaving the next day meant it was impossible to buy the delicious- looking cheese, meat, fruit and vegetables. The displays were wonderful The colours so bright and inviting. Time to leave Cagliari to travel about 300 kms to Olbia. Due to the heat, we decided to take the motorway to have time in Olbia for a beach visit. It was a good idea and a great road through the hills from west to east. We turned off to see the picturesque, little church of Zuri, which had been moved from the original village of Zuri when the area was flooded to create one of Europe' s largest artificial lakes...
