I was only back in Russikon for 3 days to organise for the next month and catch up with Trudi and Marco.
The weather hasn't been great here, so I have been super lucky all along. A rainy start to my first day didn't worry me. Time to catch up with menial tasks and then to visit Mayer's garden centre, probably the largest I have ever been to. They even had a lovely butterfly house.

The colours of both flowers and butterflies were incredibly vibrant.

i had to laugh at this discount notice. I wondered how many people bought 2499 plants!

Next day while David drove up to Zuoz with Marco, I took the train. I love the 3- hour journey, especially this part by the Walensee. The water was emerald green. Stunning.

I did always consider Zuoz and the beautiful Engadine valley to be my summer home, and it was for 15 years. As I walked up the hill to the Lyceum school, my heart really leapt with joy. What a fantastic place this is. How lucky I was to be offered a teaching position there 19 years back and then go on to co-ordinate the camps.

The view from the teachers' balcony could not be more spectacular. How they manage to have such an incredible petunia display, I would love to know. With those bright colours in the foreground contrasting with the colourful school buildings, mountains and sky, it's simply a breathtaking sight.
