From the Grand Duchy and a home full of cats and dogs to Wales, Llantwit Major, and family with babies galore! It's just fantastic to be home with the family again.

What a wonderful afternoon for a walk to Llantwit Major beach

it was a perfect evening with fabulous clouds, but a pretty chilly wind. 

The sun's rays on the water were marvellous, creating a shimmering strip of silver

Only an easy 20-minute walk from the village, either through pretty little hedgerows or across fields, this is a walk to be enjoyed again and again.

Annie, my sister, and I had a fabulous afternoon at a sea shanty festival in Barry, a 15- minute train ride away. There were some fantastic groups. 

The beach was packed with families and young folk obviously feeling that summer should have arrived on the first day of June! . It was incredible to see so many scantily clad folk on what was a pretty chilly afternoon!

Amazingly,  there were even people in the water! I don't think anyone would have even been on the beach in other European countries!
