Paris

So, here I am in this incredible city, about to live my dream of a canal cruise.
I was a little anxious about finding everything, but if you decide to do taxis rather than walking and public transport, it's worth a little luxury as there's no stress. I must be getting old!
I only have a few hours to look around but that's enough to feel excited by this magnificent city. To go to the Place de concorde with its amazing fountains
And to cross the mighty Seine with views of one of the most famous landmarks in the world, The Eiffel Tower, makes even a short visit worthwhile.
Now I'm writing this whilst savouring the most expensive water I've ever drunk, 7 euros. At least I got a slice of water and a glass and it's great to sit outside watching the crazy world go past.
Olympic preparation in full swing.
Time to leave soon. Have enjoyed my little jaunt today. Sun even peeped out.
Next blog on board.
